Dominican Tostones - Smashed Green Plantain

Back again with another green plantain dish - tostones! Tostones is a very easy twice fried plantain snack. When I tried the paleo diet back in 2015, I used to eat green plantains many different ways to fulfill my carbohydrate needs without the gluten. I wouldn't say tostones is the healthiest option but it hits the spot if you want to compare it to french fries. As a Bronx native, tostones is not foreign to me.
